How do I book a funfare?

Funfares are available from £5
  1. Choose your destinations on the funfare journey planner and click "times and fares".

  2. This next page shows all journeys on your chosen date. However, only a few of these might be available as a funfare. If a funfare is available, you will see "from £5" in the funfare column.

Choose your journeys, making sure to pick a funfare each way if available. Select passenger types, coachcards, etc, as usual, and click "continue".

  3. From this point onwards, you will have 30 minutes to complete the booking. This is because funfares are only available on a limited basis and are allocated on a "first come first served" basis. Do not click away from the page, or you will lose the hold - if you need to browse other websites, open a new browser window.

  4. The funfare held for you will be shown in the list of available fares, so make sure you select it before completing your booking as normal.
Important notes:

If your booking is interrupted and you have to start again, you may have to wait for 30 minutes until the funfare becomes available again.

Please note that if one or more legs of your journey is a funfare, the whole ticket is a funfare ticket.

To ensure you get the lowest possible funfare, why not try changing the times, dates and even number of passengers for each booking? Sometimes being a little flexible with your requirements can give you access to even better savings.
